He was the founder of Buddhism religion and he was born in India near Nepal .his father was Raja Kapil avast and his real name was Siddhartha Gautama .at the age of 29 for the first time confronting human misery he set to find the path of peace and calmness. Almost till 6 years he gets an education under Brahman teacher and spend his life like monk .enlightment came when he was sitting in a forest under a tree of pipal or bodhi. So this is why his followers are called Buddha means the enlightened one.
